Keeping you informed, every step of the way
Let's get this in the calendar
Questions, confirmations and check ins
We are going to have the best time!!
Let's get to know one another! Tell me what kind of session you're looking for, with all the essential details (Your name, how many people, date or timeframe, preferred location if you have one, and anything else that you think I should know).
I'll get back to you within 3 business days, so that we can get the conversation started and make sure that I'm the right photographer for your needs!
When I reach out, we'll talk about the ins and outs of your ideal shoot, as well as your expectations (and mine) so that the day goes off without a hitch!
After we set the date and iron out the details, I'll be reaching out via email with the Contract and Media Release Form (Google Form) so that we're all on the same page for the day of. A non-refundable deposit will be required at this point, as well.
I will confirm your contact preferences so that we can communicate in a way that's most convenient for you!
Please reach out any time if you have questions or concerns about weather, what to wear, or how to prepare for the day. I am always happy to help to the best of my ability! We want the day to be as fun and relaxed as possible, so ask away to help set your mind at ease.
The week of your shoot (usually 2-3 days prior), I will reach out to confirm that your availability has not changed, and make a plan for the weather, if need be.
It is very important to inform me at this time (or prior), if you can no longer attend the scheduled shoot, as this gives an opportunity to reschedule without losing your deposit.
No-shows, or cancellations with less than 24hrs notice, will result in a forfeiture of deposit.
Lastly, I'll remind you of your payment options at this time, as payment is settled prior to the session.
Show up with a positive attitude and a sense of adventure! We're going to have a great day!
I will arrive on location at least 15mins prior to our session start to scout out some great locations and best lighting scenarios, so that I'm ready when you arrive.
If you'll have kiddos in tow: reminder to bring snacks, water and a change of clothes, just in case (you know how they are haha). It's always helpful to have an incentive in mind for after the session, too, to help keep them in a cooperative mood, but we'll do our best to have a great session without bribery (haha)!
How many pictures will we receive?
A.It depends on the type and duration of session that you book. Family photo sessions will produce no less than 20 varied images.
How should we dress for our family session?
A.This will be determined by the time of year, time of day, location, duration of the session, and the overall vibe that you are looking to achieve. We can discuss during the "Let's Chat" stage of booking your session.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
A.After a feeding and/or nap! We should always try to book around baby's schedule - don't try to bend them to ours because that's going to result in a long day for everyone involved (especially baby). Nobody is happy when they're tired.
I don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
A.Absolutely! That's very common! It takes time to get comfortable in front of the camera, and that's why it's so important to me to take the time to get to know you, and answer your questions beforehand, as well! It's my job to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the session! I'll help you with posing and positioning and I encourage you to let me know if I ask you to try a pose that just isn't you - that's 100% okay! The shoot is FOR YOU! You're the boss - you call the shots, and I take them :)
I always strive to create a friendly, welcoming, safe atmosphere so that you can feel okay about getting in front of that camera, and if you ever need a break, you just say the word!
